Looking In

From my 'Abandoned' Series. The front door was missing and immediately inside the doorway was a hole to the basement of the house. When you looked in the doorway you could see several areas of the house, piles of garbage, holes all over, and collapsed floors. This house was north of Milaca, MN.

I've always been intrigued by abandoned or decrepit buildings and photographing them is absolutely fascinating. There are so many beautiful things and places to find. You never know if you're going to find a dead animal or, probably even more frightening, a living animals' nest or den.

Please keep in mind, trespassing is illegal! If you plan on visiting an abandoned building, bring a friend! You never know what might happen. Falling through a rotted floor is a huge possibility in these situations. Always carry a phone and bring a companion!
